Each year, the AIA Fall Conference brings AIA members from across the state of Montana together to celebrate the culture of innovation and knowledge that the organization strives to create for its members. The 2021 AIA Fall Conference was a spectacular continuation of this tradition and also marked the celebration of the 100-year anniversary of AIA.

While the organization has continued to embody the founding principles and values all these years, this year featured the first-ever “hybrid” conference with a large number of virtual attendees participating in the conference sessions. This truly spoke to this year’s theme of “Come Together” while also speaking to the innovative nature of the AIA continuing to serve members while adapting to the changing times.

A highlight of the conference, theDesign Awards Banquet recognized the accomplishments of members with the 2021 Excellence in Design awards. This year’s banquet also recognized the contributions of several board members and included special recognition of the retirement of Connie Dempster, Hon. AIA, whose service to AIA Montana has spanned decades and profoundly advanced the mission and vision of the organization.

The AIA is anticipating another great conference in 2022 in Missoula, Sept. 21-23.
