11 Due to the generous donation of time from architectural firms in the area, AIAS has hosted several “Meeting with the Professionals” events. These have been learning opportunities available to the stu- dents to encourage a melding of the educational and professional en- vironments. These experiences help to educate the aspiring architects, prepare them for what is ahead, and ease them into the transition. Exposure to professionals is crucial to the development of our educa- tion as it merges our schooling with reality and shows how they can be applicable to many different opportunities in our community. “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attrac- tions.” These words of Albert Einstein, speak of the vast importance that imagination plays on the world. We must not live in the limited world of knowledge, but use our imagination to assist in our cre- ation of the future. This mindset is carried through in the School of Architecture’s practices and cultivated in the creative environment of AIAS. When minds are not bogged down by a plethora of restricting qualities it allows for creative innovation. Countless times, instances that only seemed viable in dreams became reality, giving faith to new dreamers. This generation of eager, young minds is capable of making the impossible, possible. We are looking forward to several approaching events including continued professional meetings, firm crawls, the Celebration of Ar- chitecture, and a Museum of the Rockies Science Fun Night to inspire and expose the youth of our community to the immense possibilities of the architectural profession. Our reach goes beyond our campus and spreads into our community similarly to how architecture can draw people together, create a sense of feeling and atmosphere, inspire people to greatness and contribute to the development of a community. The driven students of AIAS are advocates for spreading gratitude, knowledge, and awareness in our community to better our lives and the lives of those around us. We’re inspired….we’re AIAS!
